For nights I lay dreamless in bed not being able to sleep, not being able to dream.
I was afraid.
I was afraid of my father coming back from the dead and torturing me because I wasn’t a good son, and because I killed him.
I was lying awake in bed shivering when a flashback happened of me killing my father.
I had just joined the mafia and they told me to kill my father because he was a cop.
He was driving the car and I was in the back I shot him through the seat at such force that his head slammed against the windscreen.
I regret that one horrible moment.
